The Sisslerfeld Life Sciences Campus covers a total area of almost 300,000 m². The site offers an ideal location for businesses in the pharmaceutical, chemical, medical technology and biotech industries, whether for headquarters, research and development facilities or manufacturing sites.
Plots covering 49,500 m² in the northern section of the site are largely ready for development and available immediately. An area of 212,500 m² in the southern section of the site (suitable for a large-scale project) and an additional area of approximately 35,200 m² can be built on from 2023onwards.
Main transport infrastructure
The main traffic access point is Sisslerstrasse.
The site is on land where the subsoil consists of a layer of approximately 12 meters of crushed stone. The former gravel pit is completely uncontaminated, and there is no risk of flooding on the site. The earthquake risk is very low (danger zone 1).
Usage plan and planning permission
The Sisslerfeld Life Sciences Campus is located in the industrial area of Sisseln and Eiken. Buildings in the northern section of the site are permitted up to a height of 35 m and at a distance of 6 m from the plot perimeter. Buildings in the southern section of the site are permitted up to a height of 15-30 m and at a distance of 10 m from the plot perimeter. Planning permission processes including public disclosure require three months, provided that the documents submitted are complete and the plans meet the zoning requirements.
